Roald Dahl's birthday was yesterday, September 13th, and it was also my best friend's and my aunt's birthday, as well.
If you had a childhood then you are probably familiar with his work. To celebrate this author's legacy I wanted to post a quote of his that means so much and explains so much about myself:
A person is a fool to become a writer. His only compensation is absolute freedom. He has no master except his own soul, and that, I am sure, is why he does it.
